Ricky Joseph Picard, 58, died peacefully at home on December 16, 2017, in Biloxi, MS.
Ricky was born on August 4, 1959, in Biloxi, to Leroy and Ethel Picard. He was a Class of 1977 Biloxi High School graduate. He was a Senior Test Engineer for Huntington Ingalls where he worked for more than 26 years. He married Cynthia Selmer Hockaday in 1991, and the couple had three children. He was an avid D’Iberville High School football supporter where he served as a member of the Stats team for more than 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Picard and his father-in-law, David Selmer.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Cindy; their three children, Jason (Cameron) Hockaday, Jeremy (Kelly) Picard, and Nathan Picard; his mother, Ethel Picard; his mother-in-law, Cathy Selmer; his siblings, Kathy (Jimmy) McFarland, Johnny (Olga) Picard, Steve (Mary) Picard, Alan (Lisa) Picard, David Picard, and Lynette (Billy) Clayton; his sisters-in-law, Bethany (Rusty) Fountain and Diana (Don) Doran and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Coalville Cemetery in Biloxi. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held immediately following the interment at 21719 Jones Drive in Saucier.
