Obituary for Linda Jenette Kennedy (Carey)

Linda Jenette Kennedy (Carey)
Linda Kennedy, age 68, a retired high school teacher and resident of Bay St. Louis, MS, died on April 5, 2017. She passed away peacefully at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS.
Linda is survived by her husband, Garry Kennedy, her daughter, Dani Kennedy, her brother Jimmy Carey and his wife Una Carey, her sister Glenda Stull and her husband, Terry Stull and her English Springer Spaniel, Apollo.  She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Carey, and her mother, Helen Carey.
Linda was born on February 19, 1949, in Richton, MS and was a long term resident of Ellisville, MS and most recently, Bay. St. Louis, MS. She graduated with a B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi and was a teacher in the MS public school system for 25 years.
She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed reading, watching movies and tv shows, going on cruises, and watching football and tennis. Linda truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like spending time with family and friends, enjoying a hot pot of chicken and dumplings and relaxing on her back porch. Her remarkable wit and good nature will be missed dearly by her family, friends and anyone who knew her.
As per her request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
Southern Mississippi Funeral Services served the Kennedy family.
