Sandra Lou Boyd Gruich, age 63 and a resident of Long Beach, died on May 16, 2017, in Long Beach.

Sandra was a native of Long Beach and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She attended Harrison Central High School, was a philanthropist and was employed with Hancock Bank for 37 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Numnum; her mother, Juanita Yarbrough and her brothers, Grady F. Carden, Sr., Bobby L. Carden, Sr., Louis “Pete” Latimer, II, and Jesse L. Yarbrough, Jr.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 13 years, Michael Gruich, Sr. of Long Beach, her son, Matthew (Danielle) Boyd of Colorado; her siblings, Carolyn (Kenneth) Lassabe of Long Beach, Joseph (Linda) Carden of Long Beach, Tommy Numnum of Gulfport, Marie Dudash of Indiana, Hubert Yarbrough of Gulfport, Debbie (Dennis) Gara of Gulfport, and Vickie (Ralph) Dunn of Long Beach and her mother-in-law, Bonnie Boyd of Long Beach.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
