Obituary for Sharon Suzette Kuntzman (Schmitt)

Sharon Schmitt Kuntzman passed away Tuesday, May 30th at her Diamondhead home surrounded by family, after a unyielding 2.5 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Born in 1961 in New Orleans, LA, Sharon moved to Mississippi at an early age with her family and it is where she lived the remainder of her life. She began working in the insurance industry shortly after graduating from Our Lady’s Academy. She received her license and after 30 years in the industry she decided to take a chance and opened her own agency where she was beginning to thrive.
Sharon recently celebrated her 26th wedding anniversary and spending weekend trips with her husband was what made her content. She was close to her siblings and extended family and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them. While she loved being a Godmother, her biggest joy was being “Grand Nan” to her great nieces. She enjoyed fun and happiness which stands to reason that Disney World was one of her favorite places to visit. She was loving, tender, smart, gracious, cheerful, compassionate, faithful and a kinder person would be hard to imagine.
Sharon is survived by her husband Cameron Kuntzman; Her siblings Lewis Schmitt (Barbara), Michael Schmitt III (Marsha), Raymond Schmitt (Carla), Frederick Schmitt (Donna), Christopher Schmitt (Stephanie), Brian Schmitt (Margie), Michelle Schmitt (Cathy), Ellen Schmitt Summers (Steven), Rachel Schmitt; Godson: Michael Forrest Summers, 27 nieces & nephews and 27 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Michael Albert Schmitt Jr and Velma Tenney Schmitt and her sister Mary Elizabeth Schmitt Lachin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Paddy on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 6:00 PM at the Most Holy Trinity Church on 9062 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, MS. Visitation will begin at 5:00 and a repast will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, an organization Sharon spent time working with to help bring an end to the disease.
Southern Mississippi Funeral Services of Bay St. Louis is serving the Kuntzman family.
