Mijon “Mimi” Paule’ Hesser, age 71 of St Martin, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017, at Oceans Springs Hospital after a courageous battle with ALS.
She was born in Jacksonville, FL, but raised in Rock Island, Illinois. She worked in the medical field for 40 years, retiring from Nursing at Orange Park Medical Center, FL, in 2011. She cared for hundreds of people, taught clinicals to new nurses and was an instructor for CPR classes. She was a world traveler, living in Germany and Japan as well as visiting multiple other countries.
Mimi leaves her three children; her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Krayesky-Self and Lenny LeBert of Lafayette, LA; her son, Michael Hesser of Middleburg, FL and her daughter and son-in-law, Amy Collings and Brian Collings; her grandchildren, S. Self and partner R. Gautreaux, Mathew Self, Megan Rowland and her husband Dustin Rowland, Brian Alexander “Alex” Collings and his wife Kristen Collings, Chyenne Collings, Nichole “Nikki” Collings, Isabelle “Belle” Collings, Emily LeBert, and Nicholas LeBert; her great granddaughter, Annabelle Collings; her brothers, Patrick Vancil and David Vancil and her sisters, Peggy Tidwell and Madaline Luloff and their families all of Illinois. The love she shared with her family shall always remain immortal, and she will be remembered dearly and missed greatly.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, at 5pm at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Avenue in Ocean Springs. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
