Obituary for Ralph Rudolph Suggs Jr.

Ralph “Buddy” R. Suggs, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Gloria Mills Suggs for 52 years. His final days were surrounded by his cherished family. Beloved son of the late Ralph R. Suggs, Sr. and Doris Casey Suggs. Loving father of Cindy Rice (Donny), Steven Suggs (Amanda), Sandy Alphonso (Peter), and Beverly Weber. Proud grandfather of Tabatha Mikels (Aaron), Brooke Henson (Mitch), Kayla Hall (Josh), Erick Bradford, Jamie Suggs (Brianna), Austin Suggs, Zane Bradford (Macie), Brandon Shulman, Alexis Suggs, and Katie Rice. Great-grandfather of Kendall Mikels, Rosalie Hall, “Bow” Madisyn Bradford, and “Little Buddy” Ford Henson. Survived by sister’s Ruby Paramore, Lou Barfield, Jean Chacho, and Mary Savage. Survived by his sister in-law, Dottie Mills NeeSmith, and brother in-law, Charles Bell, Jr. Also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Buddy was born on October 27, 1947, in Greenville, NC and was a retired resident of Bay St. Louis, MS. He was a kind soul with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a hard worker and providing for his family was his main priority. He will always be remembered and missed by all that loved and knew him.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Avenue in Ocean Springs, MS, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lives Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian, MS.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph’s Hospice for their loving care of our father. We would also like to give a heartfelt and sincere thank you to Felicia and Denise for your compassion, comfort, and care of our father, Mr. Suggs.
