Rodney Craig Reeves, age 57 of Gautier, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017.
Rodney was born November 1, 1959, in Centreville, MS. Rodney graduated from Vancleave High School in 1977, and went onto to receive his associate degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Rodney was Plant Manager at Reeves Engineering & Fabricators for over 15 years and was also Owner/Operator of Progressive Products & Services. He was excellent fiberglass laminators, and developed and patented a “prop-guard” that is used on the propeller of a boat to save Manatee’s of Florida. Rodney was an avid deep sea fisherman; he loved being outdoors and enjoyed cooking. Hosting crawfish and shrimp boils was one of his favorite family events. He loved spending time with his family and was the life of the party! He will be missed.
Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Thomas L. Reeves, Sr. His brothers; James, Joseph, and Shannon Reeves.
Survivors include the love of his life, his longtime companion and soul-mate, Carol S. Thomas; his mother and step-father; Rita and Dwaine Beech; his children, Michael Reeves, Ryan Reeves, April (Jeremy) Shiyou, Jeremy Wahl, Kacy Reeves, and Trenton Wahl; his grandchildren, Christopher, Madison, Julian, Brantley Reeves, Kaizlee Wahl, and Raegan Filmore; his brothers, Kenny (Sara) Reeves and Tom (Trina) Reeves; his step-brothers, Carman (Shannon) Beech, Chad Beech; his step-sisters, Malynda (Rob) Burkett and Glynda (Chava) Del Rosa; numerous nephews and nieces and his beloved dog, Rocky.
In lieu of floral donations, we ask that you donate in memory of Rodney C. Reeves to the Home of Grace or Alcoholics Anonymous.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017, at 1pm at Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast, 1907 Popps Ferry Road in Biloxi, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
Southern Mississippi Funeral Services is serving the Reeves family.
