Obituary for Jose Onnagan Ferrer

It is with deep sadness that the family of Jose O. Ferrer anounces his passing at the age of 71 on July 27, 2017 at 1:00 AM at Memorial Hospital, Gulfport, Mississippi, USA.

He is survived by Rufina, his wife of 44 years; children, Jeffrey, Ivy, and Ira; grandchildren, Abraham, Samuel, Ezekiel, and Lluvy, and children in law, Lu and Lauree.

He is also survived by his brothers, Generoso, Henry, and Benjamin.

Joey lived a simple and humble life, but a happy life at West Tapinac, Olongapo City. He was a good and understanding husband, a dutiful father to his children and a caring "LoLo" to his grandchildren. He may not have always shown outward affection but deep in his heart he loved his family and wanted to give them more than the very best he could.

Joey most enjoyed the years of his life spent as karate player and instructor. He was proud of his tournament fights and fondly recalled all the exciting escapades he had with his karate buddies.

Joey was friendly, outgoing and well liked by everyone he came in contact with. This was especially because of the amount of new friends he made in just a short stay in Gulfport, MS. He was popularly known in his community by "Joey Boy" and "Kuya Joey". Joey will always be remembered for "who he is".

Please join us at the Olongapo Memorial Chapel, Sta Rita, Olongapo City, Philippines, as we celebrate the life of Joey and lay him to rest.
