Jewel Polk Sullivan was born December 11, 1929, in Mount Olive, MS. She departed for her Heavenly Home on August 16, 2017, at her home in Vancleave; at the age of 87.
Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her husband, Carey Sullivan and her parents, Ike and Reba Polk.
She is survived by her four children, Bill (Sherry) Sullivan, Jane (Tom) Jacobs, Jerry (Linda) Sullivan, and Carl (Shelia) Sullivan; her five grandchildren; her ten great-grandchildren and her two sisters, Bobbye McLendon and Billie Flynt.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Pine Lake Baptist Church, 16600 Highway 57 in Vancleave. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at 3:30 p.m. at New Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, 682 Smith County Road 51, in Smith County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pine Lake Youth Group, 16600 Highway 57, Vancleave, MS 39565, a ministry dear to Mrs. Sullivan’s heart.
