Mr. Smith (Smitty) Gerald Coleman, age 60 and a resident of Biloxi, died on September 1, 2017, in Ocean Springs.

He was a lifelong resident of the Beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast where he loved the water and fishing.

He was preceded in death by Mother Elaine Coleman and Father Gerald Coleman Sr. nephew Jimmy Cooper and nephew Jeremy Vincent.

Survivors include his wife JoAnne Coleman, his son Brandon Coleman (Yvette), daughter Candice Edgar, stepson Gary Crossland (Jennifer), Stepdaughter Cherie Crossland, and Stepdaughter Heather Carter (Brandon). His siblings include Sister Paula Johnson (Johnny) and brother Norman R Coleman Sr (Melanie). Nieces include Toni Sagenbrecht (Mike), Brittany Noble (Justin), Cortney Hyer (Josh), Kelli Coleman and Tabitha Coleman (Max) nephews include Norman Coleman Jr (Gloria), and Nolan Coleman (Hayley).

A celebration of his life is planned for Sunday Sept 10 at Gulf Islands National Seashore Park in Ocean Springs at pavilion #5 between the hours of 12pm 5pm.
