Obituary for Jack Edward Case

Jack Edward Case, age 71 and a resident of Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, Louisiana, surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 23, 1946, in Bloomington, Illinois to Roscoe and LouDean Case.

Jack was a decorated service member of the United States Air Force of 23 years. After serving in the Vietnam War, he came home to raise seven children and eleven grandchildren with his wife of nearly 45 years, Vicky Case.

Following his military service, Jack served 27 years as a detection systems specialist with the Department of Homeland Security.

He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed camping, boating, and outdoor activities surrounded by friends and loved ones. Jack was also an avid golfer with an active interest in a traveling golf group.

Jack is survived by his wife Vicky Case, his seven children, Heather Case Bright, Jason Case, Katrina Case Givan, Jonathan Case, Emily Case Belote, James Case, and Ariana Case Hansen. He also leaves behind eleven loving grandchildren, Jacob Pennington, Madison Pennington, Zachary Pennington, Asher Trotter, Jaxon Case, William Givan, Henry Givan, Patrick Givan, Case Belote, Jolene Belote, and Violette Hansen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Case and his mother, LouDean Case.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s By-The-Sea Episcopal Church in Gulfport, Mississippi. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service, and following the service for a small reception.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors to be rendered by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
