Obituary for Carolyn A. Miller (James)

Carolyn Ann (James) Miller passed from this earth on Thursday, November 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by both parents, Dallas R. James and Sarah A. (Rose) James, her husband Charles T. Miller and a grandson, Brandon K. Miller. Carolyn is survived by her four children; Charles Eugene Miller, Leslie Wayne Miller, Kelvin Dean Miller, and Michelle Suzanne (Miller) Straight, her eleven grandchildren and eight great-grand children, as well as her brother's Richard D. James and Jerry W. James and extended family members in the Hattiesburg, MS area.

Carolyn spent nearly 30 years with her companion, Clarence Seymour. Together they built a home and life which they cherished. They enjoyed many trips together, spent time fishing in their boat and pond, as well as entertaining their family at home.

Carolyn had a passion for gardening and flowers. Her home was filled and surrounded with an abundance of flowering plants and bushes. She was the consummate southern woman. She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and children. She made amazing home cooked meals, canned vegetables and fruits. Carolyn and her husband Charles had four children while Charles served in the US Navy. She possessed the ability to make any place they were stationed "home". She was dedicated to her family and country as a Fiercely proud American. She supported all of her children's endeavors with tremendous pride. Carolyn instilled a strong sense of character, family and integrity in her children.She will be greatly missed and her children will forever cherish the memories of growing up together in her home.
