Julia Cobb Tapper, age 81 and a resident of Vancleave, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017, in Gulfport.

Julia was a retired offshore chef where she prepared countless meals. Julia was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family.

Julia was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Cobb; her mother, Elise Scara and a daughter, Shirley.

Julia is survived by her children, Beverly, Gerald, Donna, Cindy and Wanda. Julia was also a grandmother of 14, a great grandmother of 22, and a great-great grandmother of 6. Julia was loved by many and will truly be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Avenue in Ocean Springs, where friends may visit one hour prior to service.
