Wilma Hampton Walker, age 88 and a resident of Woolmarket, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, in Woolmarket.
She enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, working with ceramics, and classical music. She also loved watching “The Sound of Music” with her children.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents, Verlean, Sr. and Anna Blechle Hampton; her son, Charles Edward Walker, Jr.; her brothers, Bus Hampton and Ray Hampton and her sisters, Virginia Trauth and Laverne Werner.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Charles Edward Walker, Sr.; her children, Charleen (Edward) Brawner, Karen Hebert Walker, Christine (Tom) Riggs, Catherine J. Walker, Curtis Ray Walker, Sr., Cheryl (David) Picard, Carolyn (Tony) Dommert, and Carla-Jodi (Laura) Grimes; 17 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren, with two on the way; one great-great grandchild and numerous nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Coalville United Methodist Church, 12298 Shorecrest Road in Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Coalville Cemetery.
