Obituary for Emma Nell Albano (Miller)

Emma Nell (Miller) Albano, 85, of Gautier, died peacefully on Friday, March 23, 2018 in Moss Point.

Emma is survived by her four children, John M. (Rosemary) Albano, of New York; Gary (Jenny) Albano, of Wisconsin; Theresa Wilsey, of Mississippi; Keith (Teresa) Albano, of New York; Twin brother, Michael Albano, also of New York; Former son-in-law, Donald Wilsey Jr. of Mississippi; Fourteen grandchildren: Donald (Jennifer) Wilsey, III, of Gautier, MS; Justin (Bethany) Albano, of Rensselaer, NY; Hillary Albano, of Ravena, NY; Rachelle Wilsey (Mark Hester) of Ocean Springs, MS; Jonathan (Karen) Albano, Ravena, NY; Ryan (Jennifer) Wilsey of Denham Springs, LA; Keith Albano, Jr (Ana), of Oceanside, CA; Aaron (Rebecca) Wilsey of Gautier, MS; Deidra Reihal of Delmar, NY; Shannon Albano, of Los Angeles, CA; Gary S. Albano, of Topeka, KA; Autumn E. Riley, of Palmyra, WI; Toni M. Albano, of Chicago, IL; Cody M. Albano, of Magna, Utah, and sixteen great grandchildren. As well as her siblings, Vernon, Virginia, Jo Ann and Mary Ann. Numerous close friends that were more like family to her, such as Fred & Kathy Abney of Scotland, UK.

Emma is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Annie Mae Miller, siblings Joyce, Samuel Jr, John, as well as being reunited with her loving husband of 64 years, John Sylvester Albano, who passed away in 2016. Emma was born on May 13, 1932 in Kreole, MS. She met John, who was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, in 1951. They were married on August 24, 1952 at The Church of St. Patrick’s, in Ravena, New York. Emma was a devoted and loving housewife and mother to her four crazy children. Emma and John moved back to the Gulf Coast in late 1975, and lived out their finals days in Gautier.

Emma’s family would like to thank everyone for their condolences during this difficult time. A special thank you to the caring and generous staff of Singing River Hospital as well as the staff at We Care Hospice, in Moss Point. The memorial service will be held privately.
