Dennis Fredrick Pankonin, 66 of Gauiter, MS passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, in his home peaceful surrounded by his family.

A celebration of life will be held on April 2, 2018, at 1 pm at South Mississippi Funeral Services. Pastor Lee Stiltner will be officiating. Burial will follow in Moss Point. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Dennis was born August 6, 1951. He was born in Pascagoula, MS. He was a 28 year retiree of Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars, and tinkering.

Dennis is survived by his four children and their mother Martha Watkins, Pam (Barry) Askew, their children Autum (Chris) Rushing, Bonnie Jackson, and Cassie Martin. Sam (Shawna) Pankonin their children Jade Meehan and Rylee Pankonin, Melanie (Blaine) Pankonin-White their child, Landon Pankonin, Angela (Darrel) Ashley their children Camron and Mckenna Ashley. His great grandchildren: Julia Rose, Rebecca Lynn,  Serenity Rose, and Nikolai. His five sisters Sherry (Larry) Luke, Carmen (Johnny) Sharp, Dalia (Robert) Coubert, Danell (Lynn) Hill, Donell (Anthony) Faggard and several very special nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Willard and Roberta Pankonin and his brother David Pankonin.



A prayer for our Dad and Grandpa, Dear God, We gratefully thank you for giving us this man. You must have really loved us, because you gave us the best you had. Watch over him and bless him Lord and keep him in your care and may he feel our LOVE for him.
