Obituary for Deborah Ann Bynum (Sparks)

Ms. Deborah Ann Bynum, 65, of Woolmarket, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Deborah was born on February 19, 1953 in Gulfport to the late Tommy Joe Sparks and Doris (Newcomb) Mason. She will be remembered as a artist and naturalist who enjoyed writing poetry.

Although she worked as a book keeper, her greatest achievement was in her 40's when she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She represented four generations of nurses in her family. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Garden Park Medical Center until her retirement in 2012.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Joe Sparks and Doris Mason; brother, Glendal Madden, Jr. and Ronald Dennis Mason.

Survivors include her loving best friend and caregiver, Sandra Ladner of Woolmarket; daughters, Laura (Mark) Sprecker of Woolmarket and Jennifer (Scott) McNeal of Woolmarket; sister, Dawn Norton of Texas; precious grandchildren, Danielle Husley, Liberty McNeal, and Anna McNeal all of Woolmarket, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends from Texas and Mississippi.

The family will receive friends from 10 -11:00 am on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS. The family will leave the funeral home at 11:00 am and meet at Coalville Cemetery for graveside services.
