Obituary for Kyle Evan Barnette Sr.

Kyle E Barnette Sr, age 62 of Saucier, passed away on June 8 2018.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betsy L. Barnette. He is survived by his wife, Judy Barnette and his beloved Zeus; His father Clifford L. Barnette, Stepmother Jean Barnette, 2 brothers Keith Barnette and Kevin and wife Kimberly Barnette, 4 children, Bethany Anthony, Kyle E. Barnette Jr., Kristopher Barnette, James Peacock and eight grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Kyle E. Barnette Sr. was born at Warner Robbins AFB, GA. He served in the U.S. Navy in the early 70's, upon discharge he attended college and obtained his bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Southern Mississippi University. Upon graduation he was hired by the U.S. Customs Service where he served with distinction as a special agent until the development of the Department Of Homeland Security at which time he became a Special Agent with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. Kyle E. Barnette Sr. served everywhere from Mobile, AL to the front lines of Arizona and as an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, GA. ending his over 30 years of Law Enforcement as Deputy Agent In Charge, New Orleans, LA. Kyle dedicated his life in service to our great nation.

Kyle was the founder of the Mississippi Blood Trailing Network, a statewide organization of volunteers dedicated to assisting hunter with the recovery of Whitetail Deer. Kyle was also an active member and Safety Officer for the MS II chapter of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, an organization dedicated to providing support to local charities. Kyle was also a member of the Bad Bottom Hunting Club, promoting safe and ethical hunting and game management.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 15, 2018, from 1030 – 1130 visitation with Celebration of life service to follow at 1130 at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Avenue Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Inurnment to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Family requests family and friends to dress casual for all events.
