Obituary for James Morgan Fountain

Mr. James Morgan Fountain, 75, of D'Iberville, died peacefully surrounded by his family Sunday, September 16, 2018.

James was born in St. Martin and lived his adult life in D'Iberville. He graduated from St. Martin High School in 1960 and honorably served in the United States Army from 1960-1965. He worked at Pringle Ford and Biloxi Sales and Service most of his working life.

He enjoyed participating in Cruisin' the Coast with his 1962 Mercury Comet which he rebuilt by hand over 9 months. He could build and fix virtually anything including a vast collection of hand crafted wooden boats that he made and refurbished. He was also a talented gardener who enjoyed growing flowers in his yard, and he enjoyed his Old Milwaukee while golfing and fishing with his friends.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lily Tamelia "Timmie" Fountain; twin girls and a baby boy; parents, J.D. and Louise Fountain, and brothers, Cary, Jack Ray, Darel, and Wayne Fountain.

Survivors include his loving children, Tamelia Schoendorf (Milton), Lorene Lyons (J.D.), and Gregory Fountain (Jason); sister, Alice Dale Fitzpatrick; grandchildren, Amber (Matt), Megan (Jimmy), Jonathan (Brandi), Ryan (Whitney), Lacey (Austin) and Jeremy; great grandchildren, Jayden, Connor, Jackson, Easton, Ayvahh, Sebastian, Adalyn, Lily, Everleigh Rose, Rowan (on the way), and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family wishes to extend special gratitude to Mrs. Gloria Anglado who was always a loving and kind friend to him through the years following Mrs. Fountain's death and his loving niece and Godchild, Michelle Fountain Broadus for being a companion and caregiver in his final days. The family also wishes to extend special gratitude to the Kindred Hospice of Biloxi family especially Catherine, Kristen, Debra, Jan, Sharon, "his Addie", and the aides for their exceptional love and care during these past few months.

The family will receive friends from 9 - 11 am on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am.

Interment will follow in Bosarge Cemetery under the auspices of Southern Mississippi Funeral Services.
