Kelly Mae Gibson, 40, of D’Iberville, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Biloxi.
Kelly was born on July 18, 1976 in Pascagoula. She has earned her Bachelor’s Degree with honors. She worked at several local hospitals, home health agencies, and spent some time as a travel nurse. She was also the Health Occupation of Science teacher at St. Martin High School.
She will be best remembered as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who always put herself last to care for her family. She will also be remembered for being the epitome of a dance mom.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Haynes; maternal grandparents, Henry Karl and Roseann Duffy Weber, and paternal grandparents, Thomas James Sr. and Edna Mae Haynes.
Survivors include her loving husband of 16 years, Stan Gibson; daughter, Anniston Gibson; father, Thomas James (Rachel Ann) Haynes, Jr.; sisters, Kimberly (Mark) Collins, Kristen (Will) Leonard, and Kathleen (Brittany) Blevins; sister in law Michele (Vince) Howard; nieces and nephews including Kayla (Brandon) Bardwell, Sara Houston, Alora Houston, Hunter Collins, Mark Collins, Jr, Hailey Truitt, Joshua Truitt, Rebecca Leonard, Abigail Irvine, Mandy (Brad) Rigby, Kendall Howard, and Ethan Howard, and great nephews, Bear and Onyx Bardwell.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
