Ruth Carolyn Butler, 68, of Terry, MS, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at her home in Terry.
Ms. Butler was born in Cleveland, MS and was a long-time resident of Terry. She was a faithful member of Berea Baptist Church in Terry. Ms. Butler was an unselfish and loving person with a wonderful spirit. She was a caregiver to her mother and to anyone who needed her. Ms. Butler also thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the kitchen.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Clyde Butler; sisters, Nita Stokley and Lisa Dunnam; brother-in-law’s, Joe Stokley and Steven Dunnam; and her nephew Benji Butler.
She is survived by her mother, Ruthie Smith Butler; sons, Bobby(Chell) Blakeney and Jim(Rhonda) Blakeney; daughters, Tammara McDaniel and Tina Leigh Jones; brothers, William(Anita) David Butler, Benny Butler, Roy Butler, Richard(Kathy) Butler and Michael Butler; sisters, Diane(Glenn) Stokes and Lynn Workman; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren, also her chihuahua “Tia”.
A memorial service for Ms. Butler will be held at the Berea Baptist Church located at 207 N. Utica St, Terry, MS 39170 at a later date.
