William Lawrence (Larry) Hopkins 83, of Cullman Alabama passed away on December 17, 2017.
He was born in Woodland, Alabama and lived many years on the Mississippi Gulf Coast until his retirement then moved to Cullman, Alabama.He graduated from Bessemer High School and received a Chemical Engineering degree from Auburn University. He worked many years at NASA. He also worked for GE and Svedrup. Lawrence was an avid fisherman and loved Auburn football. Some of his happiest moments were spent with friends on the waters and attending college football games.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Katie and Hugh Hopkins, and a daughter, Tanya Pope.
Lawrence is survived by his sons, Larry and Glen Hopkins, grandchildren, Evan and Madison Hopkins, Keith Hopkins, Lisa and Kevin Davenport, Josh and Amber Pope, and many cousins and friends.
A memorial Service will be at a later date. The family wishes to convey their thanks to his loving and faithful neighbors, doctors, nurses, and hospice for their loving care.
